This notice explains what we do with your information when you visit this site or buy the book.

Who is responsible

What we collect

• When you buy. Your email address, your name if you provide it, your billing country, and the fact that a payment was made. Stripe handles the card details and we never see them.
• When you visit. Cloudflare, which hosts this site, processes standard technical data such as your IP address and browser type in order to serve the page and keep the site safe.
• When you email us. Your address and whatever you write.

What we do not do

• We do not run advertising or tracking pixels on this site.
• We do not sell or rent your information.
• We do not build a marketing profile of you, and buying the book does not sign you up to a mailing list.

Why we are allowed to hold it

To perform our contract with you, meaning to take payment and deliver the file. For our legitimate interest in keeping the site working and secure. And to meet our legal obligations, such as tax and accounting records.

Who else sees it

Stripe, for payments. Cloudflare, for hosting and email. Our accountant, for the records we are required to keep. Nobody else.

How long we keep it

Purchase records for six years, because tax law requires it. Support emails for two years. Server logs for as long as Cloudflare retains them under their own policy.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email us and we will respond within one month.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. Stripe may set cookies on its checkout pages, which are covered by Stripe's own privacy notice.
